It can be safely placed beneath countertops and work benches and features a 3.5 height x 2.2 In. depth (89 height x 64 mm depth) recessed toe kick. This allows users to stand closer to the work surface, which means less leaning and better ergonomics. Its exterior dimensions are 35 x 35 x 22 in (889 x 889 x 559 mm). These yellow cabinets can store 22 gallon (83 l) of flammable liquids. This model is constructed with a sturdy 18-gauge (1 mm) thick steel double-wall, with 1.5 In. (38 mm) of insulating air space for fire resistance. The fully welded, not riveted, construction holds the squareness of the unit for a longer life and offers greater protection in a fire since air gaps are reduced. High-performance, self-closing doors open to a full 180 degrees. A patented, concealed self-close mechanism provides obstruction-free access to shelf space. The doors self-index to guarantee they will close in tightly sequence. Continuous piano hinges ensure the doors close smoothly every time. When used properly as designed, safety cabinets with self-closing doors shut automatically in case of a fire. The self-closing doors, under tension, are held open by using fusible links.
