It fits flush alongside a 45 gallon (170 l) cabinet, which makes it easy to help expand storage alongside an existing cabinet system. The cabinet’s smaller footprint allows placement in labs, R&D rooms, garages, machine shops, and more. Its exterior dimensions are 65 height x 23.25 width x 18 In. depth (1651 height x 591 width x 457 mm depth). These yellow cabinets can store 22 gallon (83 l) of flammable liquids. This model is constructed with a sturdy 18-gauge (1 mm) thick steel double-wall, with 1.5 In. (38 mm) of insulating air space for fire resistance. The fully welded, not riveted, construction holds the squareness of the unit for a longer life and offers greater protection in a fire since air gaps are reduced. The high-performance, manual-close, self-latching single door (fail safe, 3-point stainless steel) opens to a full 180 degrees and closes securely for maximum protection under fire conditions when pushed shut. Continuous piano hinges ensure the door close smoothly every time. For added security, each cabinet comes with an innovative U-Loc™ handle that does not require manual rotation to engage the mandatory latch. Cabinets include a cylinder lock and key set, or you can choose to use your own padlock. Trilingual Haz-Alert™ reflective warning labels that read “FLAMMABLE – KEEP FIRE AWAY” are highly visible under fire conditions or during power outages when illuminated with a flashlight.
